These are not your normal sheepskins! Firstly, they all have a beautiful spotted pattern which we rarely find. They are also a lovely combination of dark brown and tan. Rarer still.
But the more beautiful part of the story is in the hides origin. Raised by the Manzanares family for the certified organic Shepherd's Lamb, these sheep lived a free range life in the mountains of New Mexico and were raised using traditional farming methods. Good for the sheep, good for the soil, good for the planet. The hides are then tanned in Oregon using plant tannins, woodsmoke, organic egg yolks, & organic olive oil. They are also super soft and washable.
Each one is approximately 48″ x 30″.
They make me really, really happy.
