Local to the East Bay, Matt Fishman creates his utilitarian pieces intentionally, for every day use and enjoyment.
This is a sweet little handmade cup, thrown on a potters wheel and faceted while still wet to create an organic shaped but multi-sided design. The clay and glaze materials for these are entirely foraged in Northern California and minimally processed to allow the natural beauty to show through. This glaze is based on a Japanese "Nuka" glaze; it uses local granite, quartz sand, and wood ash to produce a luscious white glaze. True Northern Californian style!
Medium: 3-3.5" tall holds about 5-6oz.
