Join us for a very special group show.
Three ceramic artists based out of the Kickwheel studio in Petaluma.
Andrew M Kontrabecki,
Mike Wasden,
&
Sarah Bolles.
All bring vastly different
methods and madness to their craft.
This exhibition features new bodies of work from all three artists,
as well as a collection of
experimental clay block prints & process drawings.
We are so excited to welcome these three exciting artists to our shop and invite you to come and enjoy the evening with us.
Amazing charcuterie board by Marigold Charcuterie and equally amazing local Panther Ridge Wine will be served.
119 Kentucky Street in Historic Downtown Petaluma.
Andrew has dedicated his career to the studio arts, working across multiple media with a primary focus on functional ceramics.
Emphasizing Atmospheric Firings such as Anagama Woodfire, his work is both contemporary and timeless.
Blushed porcelain veneers diagram how each piece is carefully crafted, delicately loaded, and brutally fired.
For over 30 years, Mike has explored the art of clay through a wide range of techniques, glazes, and firing processes.
In the past year, his work has evolved toward hand-constructed slab vessels finished with the ancient practice of pit firing.
The result is a striking fusion of sculpture and function.
Sarah has spent decades working in the arts, both professionally and playfully, continually pushing the boundaries of what is possible within each medium she explores.
Her work with clay is no exception.
Specializing in what she calls “frivolous objects,” Sarah creates pieces with no purpose beyond the joy of making itself and the sense of wonder they inspire.
