Transhumance Festival Time!

The annual Transhumance Festival is coming to town! I love love love this festival.

The Transhumance Festival is an annual celebration dedicated to reconnecting people to the land. The festival reintroduces the age-old practice of transhumance--the tradition of moving livestock from one grazing ground to another in a seasonal cycle.

This is hands down my favorite festival in the whole wide world.
I wish I could take my goats.

The festival takes place at Steamer Landing Park. It's an all day affair with a dinner the previous night - a Farm to Table dinner at
Tara Firma Farms with a silent auction with incredible items. I will have some goods there for you to bid on. Petaluma chef Brenda Anderson, of the Secret Kitchen, is creating a lovely family-style meal sourced from local farms and ranches to celebrate the connection of hooves and hands. Enjoy local wine while you consider the wonderful silent auction items and learn about the important work local agrarians are doing.
